The Role of the School Nurse
The role of the certified school nurse has broadened in the school setting as it becomes more universally accepted that student health and student learning go hand in hand. School nurses strengthen and facilitate the educational process by improving and protecting the health status of children and staff. We also contribute to the education process with the identification and modification of health related barriers to the learning and teaching process for individual children.
