My name is Wynter Scammell and I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year.  This will be my 15th year teaching and my 13th year here in North Hanover.  Most of my time in North Hanover has been in pre-school, spending a few years teaching special education before having the opportunity to teach one of our first integrated preschool classes. I co-taught 2nd grade before moving to Colorado for a few years where I taught a middle school autism class.  Excitedly, I returned to NJ in May, 2020, then my North Hanover family shortly after. I am thrilled to be returning to pre-school for the 2021-2022 school year!
I received my BA from Rider University in 2004, with a major in Elementary Education, double major in Psychology, and a minor in Special Education. I recently completed my Masters in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education focus from University of Colorado. Some favorites of mine are the beach, all Philadelphia sports teams, almost anything chocolate (no coconut), pizza, and relaxing at home. I live in Tabernacle with my husband, David, two sons, Brady (9) and Chase (2), and our cat, Bella.
I strongly believe that communication is vital to your child's success and to a great parent/teacher partnership. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time.
